Been struggling with terrible indoor humidity for years…

Been struggling with terrible indoor humidity for years. Help.

I've had terrible humidity for years, i never knew why i was getting sick so often until i bought a hygrometer, or a humidity level reader, it showed my bedroom at a constant 70% and sometimes going up to 85%.

So i bought a dehumidifier, and had it constantly at around 45%, it took probably a year of 24hour use, non stop. The first month, i would empty 4 liters average per day, then after that for a rest of the year i would empty 2-3 liters per day.

For the past 5-6 months i've completely stopped using the dehumidifer since there's no need for it, but weirdly enough the opposite has happened, i never get humidity over 45% and these last 2 weeks, for whatever reason, my room is always around 35% and its killing me.

As we speak up until an hour ago, my humidity was at 25%.

I've been having a dry cough for days, tingling throat dry skin, feel terrible and cant sleep much.

Its summer and really hot, if i turn the AC off, i'll melt but the humidity might rise a little, i now have the AC on 26 degrees and ECO mode, which just runs really low. and its around 32% humidity.

I don't know wtf else to do. Would a big bowl of hot water do anything?

Has anyone had this before or am i doing something wrong?
