Obtaining high demand models
I’m fairly new to the hobby. I ordered a Springfield Saint Victor 9mm with an 8.5” barrel and/or a Kuna and it seems that they just aren’t available due to demand. Weeks and weeks went by and not even an update.
How does the gun industry work in general? Do they make a set number of units per year or every few years? Once made how do they get distributed to what wholesalers? I ordered and received a Taylor’s 9mm lever action and it arrived in less than a week. I was told there have been people waiting for a Springfield for a year. I’m not desperate of course but trying to understand the dynamics of the firearm market vs supply and demand in general. Thanks.
