I was with my sister-in-law and our sons at Burger King in Vila do Conde then FeiraNova Supermarket. I remember standing at the counter and watching what I thought was a "action" scene until it dawned on me that it wasn´t. I starting saying Oh my God! over and over which got peoples attention. People around me were in a state of shock, some paralyzed, others crying....

On that day, I was with five colleagues, normally based across three offices, at a single location. One always kept a window (BBC News) open on his laptop. Yes, planes had çrashed into the Twin Towers but why? That evening, the harrowing news coverage left me speechless and drove home how ideological dogma can blinker and be all-consuming.
The Naudet documentary was broadcast six months later but I did not see it until I moved to the US in 2006. I believe it's the only footage from within.
