This rare plant was found in the mountains of Guinatungan , San Lorenzo Ruiz, Camarines Norte, Philippines . It is named Rafflesia Manillana after the city of Manila . And this endemic plant species belongs to the genus Rafflesia .

The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) of Camarines Norte intensified an information campaign about this indigenous flower.
