I imaged Messier 16 this weekend. I centered my rig to point at the core of the emission nebula. M16 is an emission nebula abundant with ionized Hydrogen Alpha gas that spans 9.5 light years in total size & is located in the Constellation Serpens. This nebula is a star forging region within our own galaxy that comes into view during the Summer months. To me, it looks like a galactic hand that's actively forming and shaping new stars.
