Uncomfortable doctor visit in Germany. Was this normal?
Im a female 19. I went to get my blood pressure checked at a Hausarzt. While standing during stethoscope exam with his back facing the door, he pulled my tank top out of my jeans and then pulled with his two finger tips my jeans waistband and and peaked at the gap inside with his eyes for 4 secs then placed the stethoscope on my abdomen and said "maybe on the breast" tugged my bra to place the stethoscope. He watched my face while i looked away cause i was uncomfortable. No one else was in the room and he never asked to touch my clothes or explained what he was doing. After that he sat close for a personal chat about my stress, social anxiety, sleep, trauma, nationality, my name meaning and who I live with, work/school, “your bullies were assholes.” He said I could come to him if I needed someone to talk to and didnt recheck my BP result that was 119/107 mmHg and labeled it as me being nervous and gave me an appointment for next month to check my BP again. I also didn’t feel pressure when he did the BP check and it was quick. Then he asked if I’ve ever been underweight or had an eating disorder and how much I weigh. Somehow the Staff briefly opened door twice during the post-exam chat (him sitting in front of me not his desk), but no one entered during the physical examination (standing, waistband/collar bra touches).I don’t know his name, The praxis is owned by a woman and I looked in their website no picture or name of him. He might’ve been in his late 30s or 40s and idk if he’s a doctor or a trainee.
There was no exact reason of him to peak. Am I overreacting? What do i do next?
**UPDATE**: I went to a different Hausarzt today. A young doctor saw me first. When I mentioned my last blood pressure reading (117/109), he said that number is not actually “high”. He asked which Praxis I had been to before, and I showed him a photo of my appointment (with the date visible). When he saw it and asked what the other doctor had told me. I said he told me I was just “aufgeregt” and that I felt uncomfortable because he moved my clothes without asking or explaining. He frowned slightly and said “So you felt unsafe?” I said yes he said okay and moved on with the stethoscope exam. He explained what he was doing, and didn’t touch my clothing I adjusted it myself. Then the senior female GP joined, and they did an ECG with a female trainee present. My blood pressure today was 107/80 (normal). I received a referral to a psychologist and have follow‑up blood work scheduled. I’m still considering filing a formal complaint about the first doctor. #local source
