New player here, what realm should I choose and does it actually matter?
Hey, I’m brand new to this game and I’m trying to understand how realms work.
I started on Stormrage (because I wanted to make an alliance character and I heard that Stormrage is the best for alliance players), but I’m not really sure if that’s a good choice or if realm choice even matters much anymore. I also might want to make a horde character at some point in the future, so Stormrage might be short term for me.
A few things I’m confused about though:
\- Does realm population actually change anything important? Like, is it better to pick a high-pop realm or a low-pop one?
\- I learned about cross-realm stuff and connected realms, does that make realm choice less important?
\- If I ever want to group up with people or use the auction house, does my realm matter for that?
I basically just want to make sure I’m not making a bad long term choice early on. Though I know it’s probably not too big of a deal.
Thanks!
