Exhaust Question: what are the silver pieces for?

I bought an exhaust of EBay and I can’t seem to figure out what these two silver pieces are and how they fit into the entire setup. I’m pretty sure the cylinder with holes in it is the baffle but it doesn’t stay securely inside the muffler. I have no idea where the other piece goes. Sorry if this is a dumb question
