More than 10,000 public schools have suspended in-person classes across Luzon as heavy rains from the southwest monsoon, or habagat, continue to disrupt communities.
The Department of Education said the suspensions have affected 6.5 million learners and nearly 289,000 school personnel across 61 divisions in eight regions.
