I made an accidental discovery about Cardo Packtalks
My Packtalk Edge died on me and found out that the battery connector on the board came off after I did a teardown.
I had a Neo before I bought the Edge because of the Air Mount.
I decided to open up the Neo and lo and behold, the Neo and Edge have similar motherboard.
So I tried to swap the Neo onto the Edge body. And it works! Both audio and microphone works. It can recharge while listening to music!
The Neo became an Edge and save me some money. Although whenever I connect to Cardo Connect, it will say Packtalk Neo instead of Edge.
Have anyone done a similar thing like this?
Update: I tried with the USB-C cable that comes with the Neo , it works! Both audio comes out from the Air Mount and the Neo USB-C cable.
Update 2: I tried on my Ace Pro 2 with the audio input of AP2 coming from Neo USB-C and somehow the microphone is able to be picked up on the AP2 but very subtle.
This feels like an upgrade to the Edge (even though its a Neo with Edge body)
