Lord, help our nation and our people.
That earthquake was so strong. The damage appears immense. Many are afraid, injured, grieving, and devastated.
And this comes on top of the many burdens we already carry—corruption, injustice, abuse, and exploitation.
Lord, embrace us in Your mercy. Comfort those who mourn. Strengthen those who are rescuing and rebuilding. Provide for those who have lost homes, loved ones, and livelihoods.
Protect us from further harm. Give wisdom to our leaders, compassion to our communities, and courage to face the days ahead.
Rescue us, O God. Be our refuge and our strength in this time of trouble.
May we turn to You, trust in You, and find hope in Your unfailing love.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
