This is my entry to ma'am
a) What the day means to you
A. New Year means everything to me and family.
B & D. On our second year he got me pregnant we lived in his parents house. It was new year; we have food but not as many as my mom or aunt can have. We don't have fire crackers my husbands siblings is not around. But his parents he and me are smiling to each other while watching the sky filled with lights. Now we can celebrate it with 13-14 different kind of fruits, it's a tradition that Filipinos use to follow. Rice cakes, grilled meat hubby's favorite and sweets. Hubby even scatter coins and our kids and will race to get it on the floor. In a tall glass will also put rice, paper money and coins on it. Some also put boiled eggs.
C. When I was a kid; me, mom and grandma celebrate new year. I was a cry baby because everything is loud, I'm shaking too. But the traditions said that we need to be loud when saying goodbye to the previous year and welcoming the New one. The bad spirit will be sent away all our lights are on each room has a grapes & rice hang on it. So good luck will be follow. While my aunt burn incense, she'll inside & outside the house while praying to send the bad spirits away. We also wear something circle so money will come to us.
The reflection of this #feelgood activity; it let us realize that life can be soon change if we never stop to work hard on it. The memories and lessons teach to become a better person for our love one's.
