Shouldn't 50 move rule be not be implemented if you can show that the end game is wining despite 50 move rule?
I think 50 move rule was implemented to prevent player fatigue and endless gameplay. But now that you have examples where players are not allowed wins because of 50 move rule when they have clear wining end games, its no longer fair.
I mean think of the famous Hikaru game. Or the controversial game that happened yesterday https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3N_IMD5K0bU .
I mean think about it, in future when players are getting better and better and have mate in 60 move but that doesn't help when it is above 50 move. Bishop and rook vs rook is the key example in both cases. So maybe atleast make the rule 75 or 100 move instead of 50.
Also suggest changes to the rules that make it fair for everyone involved and solves the issue.
