My gear spent the night at the bottom of a river. Is there any hope?
This is probably some stage of grief (bargaining?) but here goes anyway:
I was kayaking when I capsized and all my gear went into the the river. It was already dark and I was too busy not drowning to retrieve the gear then, but I returned the next morning and after hours of searching found my camera and lens under five feet of water.
I know the lens is toast, but is there any hope that the camera might be salvaged? I feel like I know the answer that question, but though I’d ask here anyway. Like I said, I’m grieving. This was my only camera and only other lens, and it’ll be a long time before I can save enough to replacement them. Is photography over for me?
