Do I need to know frontend and backend development before starting system programming?
Hello. I previously worked on a backend project using C#, .NET, and Blazor for a year. On the frontend side, I only know HTML and CSS; I don't have a background in JavaScript—I can only understand it to a limited extent. However, neither frontend nor backend development appeals to me; I want to focus on systems programming. Specifically, I dislike the UI aspect of frontend development and the application logic side of backend development. I am more interested in areas like compilers and operating systems. My question is: Do I need to learn backend or frontend development to get into these fields? Is it necessary? #programming #dev #technology source
