Appreciation post for the US military. I love the US military so much for what they've done for freedom, democracy, how much they've helped and protected us smaller countries. π from Sweden πΊπ²πΈπͺ.
A lot of western people both in Europe and other places like shitting on the US military. I think it's downright disrespectful, ungrateful and absolutely disgusting. Sure, they have done questionable things like any military, but overall the good they have done far outweighs the bad.
I'm so grateful for that the US military has always been there for other smaller countries, protecting and supporting their democracy, freedom and independence. I don't want to imagine what would happen if the US didn't help out in WW1 and WW2 for example. All your great grandparents and grandparents who fought in those wars, are heroes. I honor them will all my heart, for their bravery, sacrifice and heroic deeds. I get emotional and even a bit teary in my eyes thinking about all the good the US military has done. I don't care if it sounds cheesy, it's true.
I'm so happy also that you still have so much presence here in Europe and do exercises with us in Sweden and Scandinavia. I bet you that thanks to you guys, many children who live close to Russia like Scandinavia, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland etc. have been able to sleep at night the last 2 years, knowing that we are not alone. It has helped many parents I think to comfortably tell their children at night that they will not be killed or dictated by Russia. Knowing that if Russia would invade even more countries, the US military is there with their presence to deter Russia and other villain nations from escalating further.
It's also great you keep a presence near Taiwan. They just want to live in peace, democracy and freedom like us. I bet, if it wasn't for the US, there would be a full scale invasion of Taiwan now by China.
Including some awesome pictures of some kickass US equipment. I love the F35 and F22 with the stealth caoabilities, they look cool AF too. Also love the M249, Abrams and M4.
I'm excited to follow the progress of the US switching to the new 6.8 caliber rifles during the coming years.
So happy we joined NATO btw.
Anyways, cheers and thank you for all good you've done and still are doing today for democracy and freedom! I wish more people outside the US gave it a second thought sometimes and showed some appreciation.
