Emily Wilson's The Illiad Introduction?
So I'm going into the Emily Wilson's The Iliad and the Odyssey pretty much completely blind. I know very very little of the story so my main question is about the introduction to The Iliad. It looks like it's 50 to 70 pages long and I'm not really worried about reading it as a necessity but I am a little worried about spoilers which yes I know it's thousands of years old but since I don't know much of the story I'd like to go in as blind as possible.
Would you read the introduction if you knew nothing of the story? Mainly asking people that know the introduction and the story?
