✨️‘Lady’ is an Eastern Gouache painting by Taiwanese painter Chen Jinghui (1911-1968), completed around 1930. It is currently housed in the National Taichung Museum of Fine Arts.
✨️ Eastern Gouache is an opaque watercolor. Taiwanese painters of Chen Jinghui's generation are deeply influenced by the Japanese art world and keep pace with Japanese contemporary trends.
✨️ The color used in this picture of a lady is very special. The black clothes show a "layered sense" of light, the hairstyle is even more prominent, and the flowers in the hands blend with the patterns on the clothes.
