Anyone seen the 1970 "Villette" BBC series?
Charlotte Bronte's Villette is one of my top books of all time. With the current pearl-clutching over Wuthering Heights I was tempted to search for adaptations of Villette and it seems the BBC series is "lost", whatever that means. I suppose in the 70s people didn't have any means to record so maybe it's truly gone forever.
Does anyone have memories of watching this? I'm half glad it might be totally unavailable but still curious.
