Things don’t really hold value —

My parents — they weren’t just my mother and father,
They were my peace, my shelter, my everything.
Today, I feel their absence in every heartbeat,
Yet their love still lives on in every breath I take.
To those who still have their parents —
Spend time with them, hold their hands,
Their presence is a blessing,
