Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh Good morning…

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh
Good morning my lovely tangled tribe.
The blessed month of Ramadan has begun… today is the first fast. May Allah fill this month with mercy and blessings for all of us. Ameen 🤲
Ramadan Mubarak to everyone from the bottom of my heart.
Virtues of fasting – in the light of the Qur’an
Allah says:
O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may become righteous.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:183)
This verse shows that fasting is not just staying hungry and thirsty… it is a way to gain taqwa (God-consciousness), patience, and closeness to Allah.
Virtues of fasting – in the light of Hadith
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
Whoever fasts during Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, all his previous sins will be forgiven.
(Bukhari, Muslim)
Another Hadith says:
Fasting is a shield.
Meaning fasting protects a person from sins and evil.
Spiritual benefits of fasting
✔ Purifies the heart
✔ Teaches patience and gratitude
✔ Strengthens self-control
✔ Increases love for Allah and closeness to Him
Physical (health) benefits of fasting
✔ Helps detox the body
✔ Gives rest to the digestive system
✔ Builds strong self-discipline
✔ Research shows fasting can improve metabolism and immunity
Fasting in other religions
Fasting is not only in Islam… it is also practiced in other religions as a way of spiritual purification:
The Bible (Matthew 6:16-18) teaches that fasting should be done sincerely for God, not to show people.
📖The Torah / Old Testament (Isaiah 58) describes fasting as a means of spiritual reform and seeking mercy.
This shows that fasting has always been a way to turn sincerely toward God.
Today’s special dua
Yaa Allah… forgive our sins in this Ramadan, bless our homes, and accept our prayers.
And from my side, I have a special request for dua from all of you…
May Allah bless me with a righteous and healthy son by His mercy.
Please remember me in your sincere prayers. May Allah reward you all. Ameen
May Allah accept all our fasts and grant us the true blessings of Ramadan.
Once again, heartfelt Ramadan Mubarak to everyone .
