Public holiday in Mauritius, Ugadi vibes are HERE 🎉
Ravi: New year, new me! I woke up at 6am, meditated, planned my life.
Aisha: I woke up at 10 and planned breakfast.
Kevin: I woke up confused. Why is there no work??
Ravi: Today we become better people!
Aisha: I already improved. I added extra food to my plate.
Kevin: Growth.
Ravi: Let’s do something cultural!
Aisha: Yes. I will respectfully eat everything.
Kevin: I will observe this tradition closely.
Ravi: You guys are not serious.
Aisha: I am very serious about snacks.
Kevin: Same. This is my purpose.

Yes, Ugadi is traditionally an Indian festival, but here in Mauritius we’re lucky to have public holidays for all major celebrations, whether it’s Indian, Chinese, Muslim, or any other community.
