I am a fan of Foucault's Pendulum \[and The Name of the Rose as well\] and wanted to hear what other people think of it -- specifically the two instances in the book where it seems almost as if the heroes are seeing magic/supernatural things. The first being the druid-like mist scene with the pig with apples around its neck instance with Agile \[with all three of the heroes\] and the second at the end with Casaubon mainly \[in the periscope; I won't say more so as not to spoil the book if someone hasn't read it.\]
I also wanted to know if anyone else thought Diotallevi was slowly poisoned \[or something in this vein\] instead of what occurs. I know this is probably an illogical thought but wanted to see if anyone else wondered this as well.
In terms of The Name of the Rose, what did people think of the 2019 adaptation? I was a big fan of how the library itself was depicted -- while the older film may have shown it more accurately in terms of medieval realities \[I don't know\], I liked how this new adaptation showed it to be more messy, overflowing and full of visual detail/depth. #entertainment
