Don Ramón: Played by the legendary Ramón Valdés, he is perpetually unemployed, burdened by 14 months of unpaid rent throughout the series, which forces him to constantly flee and hide from his landlord, Señor Barriga. Roberto Gómez Bolaños described him as a rogue "who hides his many shortcomings behind a facade of overwhelming charm. He was lazy, uncultured, and opportunistic," but for many, myself included, he is the best character in the series, as well as the most beloved.
