My experience upgrading from 5600X to 5800X3D

Hi, for 2 days I own the 5800X3D and this is for the easy folks who are not soo much into tweaking every % =) I am a total PC Noob and the only thing i did after installing the CPU was to undervolt it with the help of a Guide.

Specs: 1440p (170hz), Z570-F, 3070, 32GB, Win 10

I was a bit concerned about the temperature while gaming before the change but I have no issues! Compared to the 5600X it´s almost the same. I´m using the watercooling Z73 by NZXT and during gaming the temp is around 65-70 degrees (gets a bit hotter in more demanding games/areas). In windows it stays around 45-50 with the fans almost being idle. The temps being so similar between these 2 CPUs is awesome!

In Windows i did not notice any difference. I´m just the typical browsing guy with lots of tabs open, listening to music, chatting etc never had any problems with the 5600X. Going through files feels a bit faster but that could be just my imagination.

Gaming has improved for the most part. I tested games like Apex, Sekiro, Kena, Ghostrunner and few more. Noticed a smoother gameplay right away. Apex felt so much better even though the max FPS were the same (i use a FPS Limit via Steam). In League for example i barely noticed any difference. In Kena i had huge Problems with dx12 it looks like. The game was just stuttering like crazy. Turned on dx11 and it went back to smooth like butter. Horizon Zero Dawn also feeling better and it never felt bad with the 5600X. Movement and turning around in almost every game feels better.

Since i already liked the 5600X this upgrade does not feel THAT necessary. It´s like a cherry on top imo and if you have the money to spend go for it !! Most games i played feel smoother but if you are looking to play just ONE game i´d suggest you check out the 3D performance online first. If you´re just on and off gaming with the 5600X I would not upgrade atm. It´s like running in a very cushioned shoe and you get this new pair with even more cushioning :-D It may not be necessary but you don´t want to miss out after you tested it. I´m happy with the change but you should not expect to be BLOWN AWAY!

Hope this review with next to no detailed insight infos still helps someone =)
