Ancestry not claiming to be Jewish but feel a strong pull towards Judaism after finding my ancestry

My family is originally from Guatemala, and through research I’ve discovered that we descend from Sephardic Jews specifically families with surnames like Mendoza and Núñez, who trace back to Jewish communities in Spain, particularly Toledo and Seville, before the Inquisition. Many of our ancestors were part of the converso or crypto-Jewish communities who continued Jewish traditions in secret and later settled in Central America. This connection has led me to reconnect with that heritage in a meaningful way. I’ve been learning Ladino, observing Shabbat, studying Jewish prayers, and embracing Sephardic customs as a way of honoring the memory and legacy of my ancestors. I understand that Jewish identity has many layers, and I share this not to claim religious status, but to express a deep cultural and ancestral bond with the Jewish people
