Hainan Dongzhaigang Mangrove Reserve is the first national mangrove reserve established in China, as well as the largest coastal beach forest in China. The region is rich in biodiversity, with 36 species of mangrove plants calling the area home, representing an impressive 97% of mangrove species found nationally.
