Kiltepan: Enjoy the views of the sea of clouds at the top of the mountains and valleys during a beautiful sunrise.
Pamulaklakin Forest Trail: Nice leisurely walk with nature, the forests, the creeks and the soothing waters of the mountain spring. Ideal for a family activity, with lots of interesting vegetation and wildlife. Consider hiring a local guide and spend a couple of hours learning about what is around you.
Mount Makiling: Mount Makiling is just over 1000m high and is an inactive volcano, close to Manila. It was the first National Park in the country but now it is now an Asean Heritage Park. It is a state owned forest reserve which is administered by University of the Philippines in Los Banos. There are several hiking trails as well as mud baths. Enjoy birding, a picnic, and local vegetation. Plan to spend 3+ hours in the area.
Kawa-Kawa Hill and Natural Park: The "hill without a top" Kawa-kawa hill overlooks the City of Ligao thereby offering majestic views of the surrounding area. There is steepness to the climb so take your time. Much of the area is protected by trees providing welcome shade from the sun. Expect to spend 3-4 hours. (see image below)
