Following recent reports about the reassessment of several Xbox studios, it seems wise for Xbox to consider other options before closing or losing them. If the new strategy involves focusing on major titles and high-impact franchises, studios like Ninja Theory, Compulsion Games, and Double Fine could still play a significant role within Xbox. Ninja Theory possesses strong expertise in performance capture, cinematic presentation, audio design, atmosphere, and character-driven storytelling. This talent could be invaluable to major Xbox franchises. Many fans would love to see Ninja Theory develop a narrative spin-off set in the world of The Elder Scrolls, for example. Compulsion Games has a strong visual identity and a distinctive style. Instead of being limited to risky AA projects, this creative direction could support major Xbox IPs that require a stronger personality and artistic vision. Their strengths would fit perfectly with an adventure set in the world of Fable. Double Fine boasts decades of experience in humor, character creation, strange worlds, and creative game design. If Xbox were to revive franchises like Banjo-Kazooie or Conker, Double Fine could be a valuable creative partner, either leading the project or helping to define its tone and identity. If Xbox wants to focus on its major franchises, it should not waste the talent it already possesses. Strengthening collaboration between studios and allowing creative teams to support key franchises when relevant could be a smart way forward. Ninja Theory, Compulsion, and Double Fine should be used as creative and technical assets across the Xbox portfolio. Closing or losing studios should not be the only option. Xbox can refocus on its core franchises while preserving the teams and creative expertise that have made its studio catalog so rich. #games
