I know its a bit ridiculous but im feeling quite sad about it. I bought my PS4 3 years ago when i was living abroad, and the whole journey to get that console was very special to me. We just got some freedom after the first covid quarantine and I started watching Spiderman gameplay. I got obsessed with the game so i started looking for a cheap PS4. I saw a white PS4 being sold at a random place in rural Slovakia and I knew it was the one for me. My gf at the time was a local so we traveled together to the place so she could help me communicate with the seller. But we actually wanted to take a trip together as well, so we used the opportunity to travel around some towns and had a very beautiful weekend together. When we got the PS4 she bought me my first game (The Witcher 3 GOTY edition with the cover written in czech, which was weird so that made it special to me). Then i got Spiderman, RDR2 and No Man's Sky. I bought them at a random gaming shop at a small town in Slovakia as well. It was a such a great time to start my PS experience, mid quarantine and with so many amazing games at very cheap prices. I surely spent 3000+ hours with my PS4 over the years. It was my partner during my last University year and my last 3 jobs (which were remote, so I spent my working hours mostly playing 😅). Today I felt like I sold a friend or a beautiful souvenir from a better time. Im mostly posting this out of self pitty and the need to vent out this feeling of sadness and nostalgia. But i think it is important to share how impactful and emotional a PS4 (and gaming in general) can be to people who love this media. The experiences i lived through my PS4, the friends I met, and the journey to get it will always have a special place in my heart ❤️. Farewell old friend, I hope you will be as special to your new owner as you were to me. #games source
