New remote won’t connect

\]I’ve had a phoenix drone the DRC-lsx10 drone for years now and the controller got left outside in the rain and won’t power on anymore, I bought another remote off eBay and for the life of me can not pair it to the drone. Does anyone have and knowledge about then and could guide me in the right direction please and thank you
