Are you protecting your limitations or challenging them…

Are you protecting your limitations or challenging them?

One of the hardest things for me to watch is someone with incredible potential live far beneath it.

Not because they lack ability. Not because they are incapable of more. But because somewhere along the way, they accepted a belief about themselves that became their truth.

“I cannot do that.”

“I am not good enough.”

“People like me do not succeed at things like that.”

Eventually those beliefs become a glass ceiling. You can see through it. You can see the life you want on the other side. But every time you try to rise, fear reminds you where you believe you belong.

Then ego steps in to protect the belief.

It would rather defend an old version of you than admit you might have been wrong about yourself. Fear of rejection, embarrassment, failure, or inadequacy keeps you traveling the same familiar road because familiar feels safer than uncertain.

This is where curiosity can change your life.

Instead of defending what you believe, challenge it.

Ask yourself, what if I am wrong about what I think is possible for me?

You have failed before. So have I. You have made mistakes. So have I. That does not define your potential. It proves you are human and still capable of learning.

Your greatest potential is not something you have to create. It has always been within you.

But you may have to question everything that convinced you otherwise.

Stop protecting your limitations.

Get curious enough to discover who you could become.
