Question about converting my Canadian driving license to a German one

I live in Frankfurt and wish to convert my G license. My G1 was issued before I moved here but I received the G after I moved to Frankfurt. Did anybody face this? I am hoping to still book an appointment and see what happens but I would appreciate if anybody from Canada did something similar. Thanks!
