Why do police sometimes just sit in median openings with lights on along Memorial Drive?
On some weekend nights, I notice police cars parked in the median openings along Memorial Drive with their lights on, but they’re not actively responding to anything. As you keep driving, you see more of them too.
At the same time, there are often fast super cars speeding through this area, so I’m wondering if the police doing this as a visible deterrent like “slow down, we’re here” or is there another reason?
