Walmart has a new reason a sales associate must approve your self-checkout purchase when you try to enter a number for multiple purchases, like a case of cat food -
*checkout light starts flashing, machine beeping*
Associate appears - "Can I help you?"
Me - "Yeah this machine wants to make sure I am not trying to walk off without ringing everything up."
Associate - "No, that is not why, it want to make sure you did not ring up more than you meant to."
I rolled my eyes so hard I hit my brain and gave myself a headache. 😆
I bet some people are gullible enough to believe her. 🐸

Such a scheme… in that case..
here.. when you couldn’t able to trace the beeping and the lightning process one or two of the items will be doubled and you’ll pay for it because it’s in there at the receipt believing you are paying the right pieces of stuff that you took for.. but when you caught them they will just say -I’m sorry mam.. but if you don’t argue they will surely take the items later on that was not inserted to your boxes…

She was insistent that was what it meant. I know better. I guess they have taught them to say that now to avoid appearing confrontational about it.
100%. Management hands them a script and says, 'Say this with a straight face or you're fired.' You can't even blame her for protecting her paycheck!
