Nobody beats the South African crowd when it comes to singing our National Anthem ❤️🇿🇦
KB starts them off , then steps aside and lets the crowd take over - thousands of voices singing as one. Goosebumps moment!
And just when you think it can't get any better, look up at the banner:
"Hulle weet nie wat ons weet nie"💙💚💛❤️ has a very specific Springbok connection.
This phrase was made famous by South Africa UFC champion Dricus du Plessis. After beating Sean Strickland for the UFC middleweight title in January 2024.
He used the phrase while talking about what makes South Africans different. It isn't simply "we're better than you" The meaning Dricus gave, it was more about:
"You don't know what we've been through, the adversity we've faced. You don't know the heart, resilience, the determination and pride that comes from that"
The Springboks then adopted it as a rallying cry during the 2023 Rugby World Cup. Management were showing the players videos and messages coming from SA and the phrase became part of the team's mindset during that campaign.
They may not know what we know..... but we know❤️💛💚💙

Absolutely, just before the Boks play, there's this incredible quietness as everyone with expectant hearts listens or sings the anthem. You can literally feel the unity at that moment. Imagine experiencing that in the stadium!🤗🌸
