Hello. This is a paranormal experience that happened to me.
First of all, I live in Turkey, and the place where this happened was a small village. The population barely reached 50 people. Almost nobody would walk around the streets. You would only see a few elderly men heading toward the mosque during prayer times.
Anyway, let's move on.
It was around 10:30 or 11:00 PM that night. I don't remember the exact time. There were barely any streetlights in the village, so it was completely dark outside. I was bored at home, so I decided to go outside for a while.
I turned on my phone's flashlight and started walking. At the same time, I was texting a friend. I was so distracted by the conversation that I didn't realize how far I had walked.
After a while, I looked up from my phone.
There was nobody around me.
Just darkness and complete silence.
Suddenly, I felt like I needed to go home. I had just turned around when...
I heard footsteps.
They were coming from behind me.
It sounded like someone was slowly walking.
At first, I tried not to worry about it. Maybe it was someone from the village. But after a few seconds, the footsteps started getting faster.
Then, suddenly, I heard the scream of a wild boar coming from the direction of the forest.
That was when I genuinely got scared.
I ran toward home. I didn't even dare to look behind me.
When I got home, I was completely out of breath. But I couldn't get those footsteps out of my head.
Maybe there really had been someone there.
Maybe there was a wild boar in the forest.
For a moment, I even thought, "Could someone be slaughtering a boar out there?" Then I realized how unlikely that was. Pork is forbidden in Islam, and it would have been extremely strange for something like that to happen in our village. Still, I couldn't think of any other explanation.
But I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened.
So I decided to go back to the same place.
This time, it was around 1:00 AM.
The village was completely silent.
When I reached the place, there was nothing there.
No footsteps...
No screams...
Not even the slightest sound.
"I scared myself for nothing," I thought.
I was just about to turn around when...
I heard a drum.
Then a zurna.
Then the sound of people laughing.
Suddenly, the forest was filled with the sound of a huge wedding celebration.
WTF?
The village barely had 50 people.
Who was having a wedding at this hour?
And why was it in the middle of the forest?
My curiosity got the better of me, so I started walking toward the sounds.
After a while, I saw lights between the trees.
There really was a wedding.
People were dancing. Drums were playing. Zurnas were blasting.
But something felt wrong.
I had never seen any of these people before.
They weren't from the village.
At first, I didn't think much of it. Maybe they had come from another village.
Then I looked at one of them.
And I noticed something.
His feet were backwards.
For a moment, I couldn't believe my eyes.
I looked at the person next to him.
His feet were backwards too.
Then I looked at another person...
The same thing.
My entire body went cold.
I knew what I was looking at.
I had stumbled upon a jinn wedding.
At that exact moment, the sound of the drums and zurnas slowly began to fade.
Everyone at the wedding went silent.
Then I heard another sound.
A religious chant...
But it wasn't normal.
It was being played backwards.
And it sounded slowed down as well.
Every single person there suddenly looked up at the sky.
Then...
They started screaming.
I don't know what they saw.
I just turned around and ran.
But as I was running, I noticed that one of them had seen me.
They knew I was there.
Someone shouted something at me in Arabic.
I didn't understand what they said.
But I didn't stop.
I just kept running.
When I got home, I told my family everything.
They didn't really believe me.
They thought I was lying or that I had simply scared myself.
But I know what I saw.
I still don't know what happened there that night.
I only know one thing for certain:
That was not a normal wedding.
And I will never go into that forest at night again.
