Elf Creek Games begins fulfulling overdue Kickstarters
\> Elf Creek had almost $340,000 of entirely unfulfilled Kickstarter projects when Coveyou came on board seven months ago, including Secret Villages & Santa’s Workshop (+Related Story Puzzles!) and Paradox Initiative – while some backers of its Atlantis Rising: Monstrosities campaign from 2020 are still waiting for French and German language editions of the game.
Interesting story. Basically they paid inflated shipping costs instead of holding out or shifting costs onto backers, and then couldn't recover after doing \*the right thing that backers expected\*. Unfulfilled kickstarter campaigns, unpaid designer royalties, etc and then clawed their way back to profitability and paying off their debts or starting to do so.
It's always a bit of a clash in the industry when some of the best work comes from 3 people in a basement that don't necessarily know how to run a business. Anyway, good to see that they aren't another Mythic.
