#WhenPlansFail @netizen Sometimes we plan everything…

  #WhenPlansFail

Sometimes we plan everything perfectly but life has a way of surprising us, and everything can suddenly stop. πŸŒͺ️✨

Here’s my story:
1️⃣ What plan of yours once failed suddenly?

It was during March 2020. I had prepared everything for my mum’s 90th birthday, hall reserved, catering, decorations, all paid. But just one week before the celebration, the lockdown hit due to COVID-19, and everything had to be canceled.

2️⃣ How did you feel emotionally at that moment?

Honestly, I was heartbroken and frustrated. πŸ˜” I had imagined the joy, the laughter, and the family togetherness. Seeing it all vanish in a moment felt like a punch to the heart. Plus, even though I contacted both the hall and the catering service, they refused to reimburse any of my payments, not even partially. It felt really unfair. I received no support or understanding. It was incredibly frustrating and disappointing, especially since the situation was beyond my control and I had done everything to prepare.

3️⃣ What did that experience teach you or how did it make you stronger?

Even though I couldn’t celebrate the way I planned, I learned the value of adaptability and gratitude. Life doesn’t always go according to plan, but love and intention still matter. I found creative ways to make my mum feel special at home, and I realized that joy isn’t only in big events, it’s in the little moments, even during difficult times. πŸŒΈπŸ’–

Sometimes plans fail, but resilience, love, and creativity help us turn those moments into meaningful memories. πŸ’«

I can feel you, but her birthday could celebrate at home with more fun and joy I guess. Covid-19 was a lesson for the world that people learn and we sacrifice a lots of things at that time. Not sure if such hall booking has refund policy or not. Anyway, awesome entry dearest! πŸ€—β€οΈπŸ₯°πŸ˜πŸ«ΆπŸ«°βœ¨

Celebrating at home could have been more intimate and joyful in its own way indeed, but hosting about 175 people at home, not easy at all. Yes, COVID-19 was such a huge lesson for all of us, so many sacrifices and unexpected changes. πŸ’›
The hall technically had a refund policy, but they took advantage of the situation, knowing no one could come check at that time. The same goes for the catering, they hadn’t even prepared the food, and honestly, neither of them would have been able to operate their business anyway because of COVID. They are just dishonest people, prioritizing profit over fairness and integrity, taking advantage of a crisis when trust mattered most.
Thank you for your sweet words dear, it really means a lot! πŸ€—βœ¨
