Taiwanese prosecutors have charged nine people over alleged illegal exports of Nvidia B300 AI servers to mainland China. The defendants include an Nvidia employee and two Supermicro employees, prosecutors said. ⚖️

The case centres on high-end servers built around Nvidia’s Blackwell Ultra B300 accelerators, which are designed for demanding AI training and inference workloads.

Prosecutors said 74 servers reached China and an attempted shipment of another 56 was stopped. The allegations have not been proven in court.

The case comes amid U.S. restrictions aimed at preventing advanced computing chips and systems from being diverted to China, where officials cite national-security concerns. 🖥️
