How the anime characters are called in your country?
Here in Brazil, from Kanto to Unova, they used the same english name for the Characters(With the exception of Professor Oak, he is called "Carvalho" here, that means "Oak on Portuguese). In Kalos they started to adapt to look like a brazilian name:
Sycamore became Sicômoro
Clemont became Clemente (the first "e" is a open vowel, so is pronounced as "Clémente")
In Alola they adapted even more the names to become really brazilian names, so:
Kukui is called Nogueira (it's a type of tree)
Lana is called Vitória
Mallow is called Lulu (it's from ceLUlose, but is also a cute nickname for Luiza)
Sophocles is called Cris
Brunet is called Bruna
Nanu is called Neves (is a very common surmame here)
Hapu is called Lélia
Hala is called Pandam
