" Hristos Vaskrese. Vaistinu Vaskrese" Happy Easter...
You probably all know that I am an Orthodox Christian. That's probably why my favorite holiday is Easter. Then it's a real celebration. Easter lasts for three days, preceded by Maundy Thursday, Maundy Friday and Maundy Saturday. Eggs are painted on those days. As you can see in the picture, these are mine. I painted and decorated them myself.
Easter falls on Sunday. We all put on the new clothes we bought just for that holiday and go to church. After the liturgy, we scramble eggs in the church yard. Then we go to our relatives for lunch. On that occasion, we carry eggs, and we also get theirs. And these are mostly customs for Easter. These are also non-working days. I can't wait for Easter. For that holiday, every household paints between 90 and 120 eggs... We do not have special food, just eggs π
