Mahatma Gandhi, the founder of India
Rabindranath Tagore called #Mahatma_Gandhi and became famous by that name. After returning from South Africa around 1915, Gandhi joined the politics of India. At that time, the whole of India was ruled by the British. Gandhi was a sincere man, an able politician and a preacher of non-violence. He was born on October 2, 1869. The city of Porbandar in Kathiawari Rajkot state is his birthplace. It is also said about Mohan Das Karam Chand Gandhi that his ancestors were originally residents of Pari Nagar, 12 miles away from Nangar Parkar. He passed his barrister from England in 1891 and settled in South Africa. He established a branch of the Indian National Congress there in May 1894.
