Perhaps the greatest slavery is not the one that chains the body, but the one that makes us comfortable with the suffering, humiliation, or oppression of another human being. We often forget that the person we look down on, mistreat, ignore, or oppress carries the same breath of life that we carry. We are all temporary travelers on the same earth, and none of us came into this world by our own power.
If we truly believe that God created man in His own image, then every human being deserves dignity, compassion, justice, and respect—regardless of status, wealth, position, tribe, religion, or circumstance.
The measure of our humanity is not how we treat those above us, but how we treat those who have nothing to offer us in return. Freedom is not truly freedom when it belongs only to some. Justice is not justice when it protects only the powerful. And humanity loses its meaning when we become indifferent to the pain of others. So, before we judge another, let us remember: we are all fragile, we are all mortal, and we are all dependent on the grace of God. Let us be the reason someone feels valued, not the reason they question their worth. Until every human being can live with dignity, compassion, and freedom, our work as human beings is not finished. May we be blessed, and may we become a blessing to others. 🙏 #pafey
