Ofelia, a young girl with a love for fairy tales, struggles to adapt to life under the harsh rule of her fascist stepfather. When she discovers a moss-covered labyrinth near their new home, she meets a mysterious Faun who tells her she is a lost princess from a hidden magical realm. To return to this world, she must complete three perilous tasks. Meanwhile, the real world grows darker with violence, war, and betrayal. As the lines blur between fantasy and reality, Ofelia must choose between obedience and moral courage , both in the mystical world and the brutal real one.
