What is going on in Sierra Leone?

Seems like occasional outbursts of politically-motivated violence. Anyone have any better insight about what’s happening on the ground or if this has the potential to spiral?

The government said security forces repelled "renegade soldiers" who tried to break into a military armory in Freetown. A nationwide curfew was imposed and gunshots were heard across the city as the assailants attacked a prison and a police station.
