Why is new content disconnected from current?
Playing through Midnight, I keep seeing new mini content and games added with new currencies, but a lot of it feels disconnected from what we had just a few weeks ago. A lot of the new mini content also feels a bit lacking in depth, whereas if we focused on adding it to what we had for quality rather than quantity, then we could see evolving mechanics over the expansion.
Like was there really a need to add Ritual sites as its own concept? Why not just add the concept as an additional option to Delves that change into ritual sites? Or heck, could have been added to the Prey system for difficulties you can encounter while hunting Prey (rather than the current “kill for me” idea).
Decor duels? Yeah it’s cute fun, but why not make the currency rewarded also as Dark particles, so they have another function other than being used to buy field accolades. Giving decor duels their own currency on top of everything is a bit much.
For field accolades, why not make it that Prey now additionally rewards with the currency? This would allow the system to have continued use, rather than it falling off.
