I've seen people with external storage compartments on the back of their vans and am thinking of doing one myself to hold things like jumper cables, snow chains, tire iron, etc.
I don't want to spend $900+ for one of those "built for your type of van" storage setups though.
My thought process is to buy a small metal cabinet and fasten it to my rear door with rivnuts and sealant.
Could this work?
Are there any issues with the idea that I'm not realizing?
