I got a Remington 742 inherited, is very nice condition, in .308. I’ve read things about them being not that great of guns, jamming, the receiver getting chewed up from the bolt. So I’m curious, because I want to shoot it. I want to clean and care for it but is it worth it? I’ve read that these guns people say have a certain amount of shots with them, then they are junk. But I also read people say they had them for 40+ years and no problems. But I want to frequently shoot it (not abuse it) and care for it. Is the 742 woodmaster ok for that or should I just hang it on the wall for display and let it be? #weapons
