pharmacy won't fill my medication until the 31st day
I switched pharmacies relatively recently (within the past six months). Something annoying I've noticed is that they refuse to fill my 30-day prescription of Adderall until the 31st day past my prior prescription. This means that I don't have the medication on the morning I fill it, so I don't have it when I would typically take it; and then I end up taking a dose too late in the day, which can interrupt my sleep, etc.
Yes, I understand their reticence -- it's a controlled substance. But my understanding of the law is that they don't literally have to wait until I'm 100% out of the prior month's prescription before filling the next one; they have a day or two of leeway. This is a decision they're making.
And YES I understand that I could fix this by just skipping a day or something, and that I don't need Adderall to survive, and that people in the world are dying from lack of access to insulin so I should just shut my trap and quit whining. I'm just going to point to the name of this forum preemptively: "*mildly* infuriating". #entertainment source
